Media Marketing

Media Marketing is a term that continues to evolve. When I graduated from Brigham Young University in 2006 from the Ira A. Fulton College of Engineering, School of Technology in Information Technology, I was fascinated with how technology was going to change the face of traditional marketing as we know it. I emphasized my study in Human Computer Interfacing (HCI), Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and User Experience (Ux). It is amazing to see, in 6 short years, how much has changed from when I graduated to today. [Below: My first client website – Valentina Salon, 2007]

Social media marketing is the newest branch of media marketing to really take off, and I see the next biggest hit to be business collaboration. The following elements of media marketing I continue to explore either professionally or as a hobby:

  • Social media marketing
  • SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
  • SMO (Social Media Optimization)
  • Website Design / Layout / Purpose
  • User Experience (Ux)
  • Technology Marketing
  • Video / On demand Marketing

To quote myself from 2008 – “Marketing can no longer tenaciously live 8 to 5 …. to stay competitive your message has to perpetuate all hours of life.”
